******THESE EVENTS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED************

With hopes of winning a Little Hawkeye Conference championship this season, the Pella High boys tennis team faces one of its toughest tests Monday when they host Norwalk.

The Little Dutch are 3-1 overall, and 1-0 in the LHC, but despite the strong start to the season, they haven’t gotten off to strong starts in their matches. Coach Josiah Brandt says that needs to change against the Warriors.

“I’m hoping that we’ve had enough matches under our belt that we’re really ready to go first ball knowing that this is a big conference opponent. We haven’t done a whole bunch as far as coaches before the matches saying ‘hey guys, let’s get up and let’s get going with this’. But this is one where we’ll really try to pump them up because we know it’s a big one.”

Overall, it’s a busy day Monday for Pella, with the girls tennis team making the trek to Norwalk, the boys golf team at Knoxville, the girls golf team joining Knoxville for a triangular at Pleasantville, the girls track team at Bondurant-Farrar and the boys track team at Norwalk.
