The Knoxville School Board met in regular session yesterday.

The meeting opened with presentations from the speech team. Samir Tahir presented an expository address on the rise of information technology in his country of Pakistan, Asa Leonard presented an original oratory, “The Value of Stories,” and Alaina Gerdes performed a selection of love poems. A budget amendment was approved, as were teaching and coaching contracts and assignments. The business manager contract, a science materials request and an overnight request for an FFA trip to Okoboji were all approved. They also approved a contract with Ingenuity, Inc. for curriculum materials, before going into closed session, after which no action was taken.
