Local FFA Chapters participated in and competed at the State FFA Convention in Ames this week.

Kayla Beyer of the Pella FFA Chapter placed 3rd in the the Iowa FFA Treasurer’s Book Leadership Event. Camryn Norton of Pella received a silver in the Ag Sales competition. Ella Jahner with Pella was selected to be a part of state FFA Band as well. Chandler Jahner, 2017 Pella High alum, was elected as South Central Iowa FFA State Vice President.

Knoxville’s Chapter Program team of Mickayla McGill, Makenzie Varner, and Cole Murphy received silver awards. McGill and Varner also received their Iowa FFA Degrees, as did Lane Anderson of Twin Cedars and 2017-2018 Pella FFA president Codi Holdeman. They are among over 600 FFA members to receive this award.

Members of Pella, Knoxville, PCM, Pleasantville, and Twin Cedars FFA Chapters were all in Ames for the convention.
