As the weather remains uncooperative for track and field events the first two weeks of competition, the concern now shifts to the Drake Relays and how many area athletes can even qualify under the cutoff times. Knoxville Girls Coach Brad McWilliams, who has some girls that are trying to get into the Drake Relays says it is a concern and everyone is starting to run out of meets. McWilliams says many teams are in scramble mode and trying to get into meets at the last minute just to get times posted. He says Knoxville has tried to add a meet or two, but they have already been full by the time they have inquired. The Drake Relays start lists are scheduled to be released in two weeks. The Panthers are scheduled to head to Norwalk on Monday.
