National Infant Immunization Week will run from April 21st-28th, and is an annual observance to highlight the importance of protecting infants from vaccine-preventable diseases and celebrate the achievements of immunization programs and their partners in promoting healthy communities.

Judi Van Hulzen with Marion County Public Health tells KNIA/KRLS News if you don’t have insurance, or if you do but they don’t cover vaccinations, you can come to Marion County Public Health. The most important thing to do is to stay in contact with your doctor to find out. For more information on infant vaccinations, go to the Marion County Public Health website.
