The PCM girls’ golf team had a strong showing at Veenker Memorial Golf Course in Ames yesterday, finishing seventh out of 12 teams.

The Mustangs finished seventh with 432 strokes in the 18-hole meet, while Waukee took home the title with 384. Madeline Mitchell cracked the top 10 placing eighth in the entire field with a 98 including a 45 in the back nine. Madeline Mitchell was not far behind finishing 11th with a 100. Other Mustang scoring included Brooke Dross with 113 and Gabbi Van Baale with 121. Mackenzie Bussan and Alexis Dross had non-counting scores of 129 and 132, respectively. It’s a quick turnaround for the Mustangs, as they are back on the links today at Ottumwa.
