On a decent night for track Tuesday, the Pella Christian girls’ team seized the opportunity and took home the title at Eddyville-Blakesburg.

The Eagles won the seven-team meet with 106 points while Davis County was second with 100. Six first place events helped the Eagles capture the win including a pair of relay events in the sprint medley and distance medley teams. Individual winners included Mary Kate Bandstra in the 200m dash (26.94 seconds), Emma Kolb in the 1500m (5:09), Morgan Fopma in the 400m hurdles (1:09), and Allison Van Gorp in the shot put (37’7.75’’). Second place finishes include Erica Nikkel in the 200m, Annaliese Admiraal in the 1500m, and the 4x100m relay team.

Pleasantville was also in action and placed seventh with 57 points. Kylee Van Haalen-Brown continued her solid start to the season winning the discus with a heave of 104’2’’. The 4x200m relay team also nabbed first place honors.
