The Pella City Council will meet in regular session Tuesday, April 17.

Mayor James Mueller will swear in New Reserve Police Officer Sebastian Sikora, and the council will hold a public hearing and consider a resolution on the Pella Corporation hangar lease amendment, consider a resolution to close certain streets for Thursdays in Pella, and consider a special event permit for The Cellar Peanut Pub for Tulip Time. They will also consider a resolution authorizing the taking of bids and bid opening for the Sunken Gardens Windmill Renovation Project. An ordinance amending a zoning ordinance defining brewpub as a use permitted in the Central Business District and community commercial zoning districts will be considered. They will also consider ordinances amending water rates and wastewater rates. The council will then go into closed session to consider litigation.

After the regular council meeting, a Policy and Planning meeting will be held to discuss the bike share program, Vermeer Trail options, and the downtown streetscape plan. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Public Safety Complex on Tuesday, April 17.
