The Pella City Council will discuss an Oskaloosa Street Corridor Redevelopment Plan at Policy and Planning following regular business at Tuesday’s meeting.

According to city staff, the council will talk about the proposed scope of services for a plan to bolster commercial development in that area. Council will review the goal of the plan, as well as the time period and geographical area. The proposal may also include an economic and demographic profile to determine the city’s ability to support additional commercial activity, a review of potential zoning regulations, and a redevelopment analysis to provide insight into what types of businesses would be appropriate

The council will review the proposal this week, with the goal of taking formal action at the May 15th meeting. Their meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Public Safety Complex on Liberty Street.
