Both the Pella boys and girls soccer teams earned wins last night by a margin of 4-1.

The Little Dutch hit the road to Fairfield, and after giving up one goal early in the first period, Ethan Poulter dominated offensively, scoring all four of Pella’s goals over the rest of the contest.

After weather prevented them from starting sooner, the Lady Dutch began their season at the Pella Soccer Complex with their win over Bondurant-Farrar.

Senior Kara Wichhart celebrated her birthday with the team after the win, and tells KNIA/KRLS Sports it was a solid win to start the spring.

Grace Held knocked in a pair of goals, while Maddie Canfield and Erica Bossard tacked on one apiece. The 1-0 Lady Dutch return to Pella High School Saturday for a matchup with Des Moines Roosevelt at 10:30 a.m. Pella’s 1-1 boys next will join the girls Tuesday when they take on Pella Christian.
