With several visitors in the pits on Saturday…many of the weekly drivers at Knoxville had to step up their game. Brian Brown won for the third time in a row Saturday as he dueled with Kerry Madsen in the 410 A-Main. Brown was able to use lapped traffic to his advantage and pull away from Madsen in the late going. It was the third time Brown has won three races in a row at doing it in most recently in 2014. Clint Garner led every lap of the 360 feature race, but had to duel with Ryan Giles at the halfway point. Garner was able to gap Giles and win by a comfortable margin. Matthew Stelzer left no doubt who was the car to beat in the 305 A-Main as he won by nearly five seconds. Brown won more than just a race on Saturday as his favorite school, Missouri, won the college challenge by getting the most donations to charity. The two-week contest honoring area colleges charities went to the University of Missouri’s “Rally for Rhyan.” As a result, the Missouri flag will fly at Knoxville the rest of the year. Over $3,300 was raised for charities of Iowa State University, the University of Iowa, Drake University and Missouri.
