The Knoxville Girls Tennis Squad placed second at the South Central Conference meet yesterday. The Panthers Alex Griggs was crowned the singles champion while Hannah Short placed third in singles. Coach Nick DeMoss told KNIA/KRLS Sports Griggs was down 5-1 in the opening set in the championship match and rallied to win the next nine games to win set 7-5, then put her opponent from Clarke away in the second set 6-1. Both Griggs and Short also earned all-conference.
