The Knoxville Fire Department is celebrating EMS week by hosting a pancake breakfast this morning.

Knoxville Fire Department Chief Jim Mitchell tells KNIA/KRLS News the breakfast will recognize the EMS workers who often don’t get enough credit, and help fundraise to purchase a UTV, which Mitchell says would be a big help in fighting grass fires and in rural areas where their normal trucks have a hard time getting to. Everyone is welcome to attend, with free will donations accepted. The breakfast runs from 7-10am at the Knoxville Fire Department, located at 308 S 3rd St.
