The late Jim Valvano always preached survive and advance when it came to tournament play. The Knoxville Girls Soccer Squad took that up another level by not just surviving and advancing last night in the first round of the class 1A Regionals, they dominated and advanced to a tune of 10-0 over Centerville. Tori Dye and Emma DeJoode both had hat tricks. Marley McKay, Kelsey Ryan, Ally Mitchell, and Raeghan Braezile all had one goal each. Goalie Hayley Still essentially got the night off, she did not have to record a save. The Panthers will travel to Bondurant-Farrar on Friday to play the Bluejays in the regional semi-finals.
