The Knoxville Heritage Community Foundation will have its grants and awards presentation ceremony on May 30th at the Grand Theater in Knoxville.

Dylan Morse with the foundation tells KNIA/KRLS News the event is a way to honor non-profit organizations that do great work for the community, and to spread the message that every little bit helps whether it is a $5 or $10 donation, an hour or two helping out somewhere, it all helps. It doesn’t take the million dollar donation, or the year-long time commitment, helping people simply just takes everyone and everything it can. Established in 1985, the foundation is Knoxville’s oldest non-profit organization. It was established to enhance the community by raising funds to be invested in special projects for the future of Knoxville. Everyone is welcome to attend the event, which begins at 4:30pm.
