The Coy Hupfeld era is set to begin Monday for the Knoxville Softball Squad. The Panthers will travel to Newton to get their 2018 summer underway. Knoxville is coming off a 12-15 season where the Panthers lost their coach halfway through the season. The Panthers bring back their top four hitters from last season, and the pitching staff is a year older. Including Reilly Finarty, who as an eighth grader went 6-9 in 79 and 2/3 innings striking out 36 batters. Monday’s game is scheduled to start at 7:30.
