The Pleasantville softball team has had no shortage of offensive success in the first week of the season and the Trojans got it done with the long ball against Mount Ayer. Pleasantville went yard three different times in an 8-4 win to stay undefeated on the season.

The Trojans struggled early, only mustering up two hits in the first three innings and trailing 3-0. The bats woke up in a big way with back-to-back homers in the fourth from Sydnee McKinney and Taylor Foley to tie it up. The games big blow came in the fifth with a three run bomb from Kinzi McGriff to take a lead the Trojans never relinquished. Abbie DeJoodie got the win in the circle giving up seven hits on no walks and five strikeouts.

After the win the Trojans moved to 4-0 and will get back on the diamond Tuesday against Martensdale-St. Marys.
