The Pella Boys Golf team is sending an individual to the state tournament after the team was unable to score low against a loaded 3A field at the district meet in Oskaloosa Saturday.

Pella shot 329 as a team, 10 strokes behind Washington, who placed 3rd. Oskaloosa won on their home course at 310, very closely followed by Grinnell’s 314. Luke Galeazzi carded a 77, which was good enough to earn a state tournament berth as an individual. He had the highest score of any individual not on any of the three qualifying teams, taking 6th place.

The team finishes the season with a record of 86-12. The 86 wins breaks the season record for wins in school history.
