Pella’s girls tennis team was as dominant as they have been all season in the opening round of the regional playoffs Saturday in Grinnell.

The Lady Dutch swept South Tama and Grinnell 5-0 in both games. Pella dropped a total of nine sets and won 141 of them, with No. 1 Brooke Jorgensen not dropping any sets throughout the two rounds. The Lady Dutch travel to Norwalk on Saturday, May 19th in the Class 1A 3 regional final for a chance to qualify for team state in back-to-back seasons. Pella Christian’s opening round was postponed, and they will host Oskaloosa, Clarke, and Chariton today.

Additionally, individuals from Pella, Knoxville, and Pella Christian will compete in the regional singles and doubles tournament Wednesday at Pella High School.
