A wild, see-saw softball game took place in Pella last night, with Lady Dutch rallying multiple times in a 13-12 win over Lynnville-Sully.

The Lady Dutch rallied three times to take a lead from the Hawks, all while trading multiple run innings back and forth throughout the contest that saw nine errors between the two teams. Pella scored five times in the bottom of the sixth, including a laser-shot home run by Maddie Parks, to take the final lead, with Sabrina Tallman coming in to collect the save in the next inning. Ally Almond went 4-for-4, and Courtney Thompson was 3-3 with three runs batted in. Head Coach Teresa Thompson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the team has a lot to work on defensively, but she’s very impressed with how their entire offense kept battling back.

Pella improves to 2-0 on the young season, and travel to North Polk Saturday to play in a tournament against the Comets and a rematch with Lynnville-Sully.
