Brian Brown had made sure that he is the local favorite when the World of Outlaws come calling next week at the Knoxville Raceway. Brown won for the sixth time this season at Knoxville and had to battle a tricky track, and Kerry Madsen until a slide job by Brown got Madsen in the cushion and Madsen went for a tumble. He was O-K, but out of the race, and Brown sailed to the win. After the race Brown told KNIA/KRLS Sports the cushion was not the place to be. Clint Garner took advantage of a restart on lap six of the 360 race to record his third win of the season, and the question on everyone’s minds going in was could anyone stop Eric Bridger in the 305s. The answer, and emphatic no, as Bridger dominated another 305 A-Main to win his fourth consecutive race. Next week the World of Outlaws make their only visit to the Knoxville Raceway for a Friday and Saturday show.
