The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad lost twice in the Murray Invitational on Saturday. The Saints watched game one slip away early and could not recover in a 16-3 loss to Martensdale-St. Mary’s. The Saints struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing The Blue Devils. Emilie Krpan took the loss for Melcher-Dallas. In game two, Melcher-Dallas again fell behind early lost to Seymour 8-0 A single by Kynser Reed in the fourth inning was a positive for Melcher-Dallas Saints. Kacey Enfield started the game for Melcher-Dallas going six innings, allowing 11 hits and eight runs while striking out six.
