The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad had to hold on for an 8-5 win on Friday against Seymour surviving a three run barrage by the Warriors.Melcher-Dallas broke the game open when the Saints tallied five runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by Melcher-Dallas was led by Lilly Bennett, Gracie Mann, Emilie Krpan, and Haley Godfrey, who each had R-B-Is in the inning. Emilie Krpan went the distance giving up five runs on six hits, seven strike outs and three walks, she went 3/4 at the plate and helped her own cause with three R-B-I. The Saints return to Orient-Macksburg for a tournament that started on Wednesday.
