The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad finished runner-up in the Coal Miners Invitational on Saturday. Four hits from Angel Beaty helped lead the way for The Saints over West Central Valley 11-4 in the first round game. Emilie Krpan allowed four runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one. In the title game, the Saints lost to Southeast Warren 4-3. Krpan took the loss allowing four hits and four runs over seven innings, and striking out two. Melcher-Dallas is 16-12 on the season.
