Morning Storms Dump Heavy Rain Over Central Iowa

Two rounds of thunderstorms dumped heavy rainfall over much of the county and region today.

Here are rainfall totals for the area (as of 12:30 p.m.):

KNIA/KRLS Studios in Knoxville – 1.44″
Lake Red Rock – 2.61″
Pella (near downtown) – 2.27″
Des Moines River:
-Near Swan – 1.37″
-Near Tracy – 1.17″
-Near Bussey – 1.18″

Conditions will be much hotter tomorrow, with afternoon highs topping in the mid-90s and heat continuing through Monday. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for the latest weather information.
