Both the Eagles baseball and softball teams came away with splits on their trip to Grinnell Friday night.

For the boys of summer, they lost 9-0, and found a win in game number two 3-0, which was broadcast live on 92.1 KRLS. The night belonged to Will Dembski on the mound, as he struck out 14 batters in his one-hit complete game shutout. Head Coach Jeff Bruxvoort tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the junior was locked in on the mound and dominated a good Tigers team.

Dembski retired the last twelve Grinnell batters in a row. Trevan Cadwell went 2-for-4 and scored twice, and Jack Anderson collected his first two hits of the year, coming into the game for an injured Devin Haveman. Pella Christian gave up 15 walks and hit four batters in game one. The Eagles move to 7-14 overall.

The Eagles softball team scored five runs in the second inning to win 7-1 over Grinnell in game one. Natalie Harrill hit her second home run of the season, and Amanda Harrill was 2-for-3 in game one. Chloe Morgan and Amanda each scored twice between the two games as well.

Pella Christian is 5-18 and hosts their softball invitational today. The Eagles baseball boys are off until a doubleheader at DCG Monday.
