Less than a week before they meet in the playoffs, the Pella softball team swept Grinnell on the road Friday night, winning 4-2 and 15-1.

Kinzi Van Wyk earned the complete game win in game one, allowing two earned runs. The Lady Dutch fell behind 1-0 in the first, but manufactured a run with small ball in the 3rd and later took a lead. Destiny Brown was 2/4 with two runs scored in the first contest.

Game two was Dutch dominance, with Pella winning in four innings. Fifteen Lady Dutch hits fueled their 15 runs, earning Maddie Parks the four inning win in the circle. Alizabeth Van Dusseldorp scored four times, and Parks, Courtney Thompson, and Elly Cairney each racking up two hits apiece.

Pella makes up a doubleheader at Oskaloosa Monday.

The Little Dutch baseball team fell 7-5 and 11-4 in both games at Grinnell. They make up their twin bill with the Indians in Oskaloosa later today at 11 a.m.
