The highflying Pleasantville baseball team met their match Wednesday, as Van Meter stymied the Trojan attack for a 3-1 win.

The Trojans compiled 48 runs in their previous three games, but the offense went cold against the Bulldogs, only managing three hits on the day. Colton Major had the lone RBI with a sac fly in the sixth inning to plate Quintin Berglund. Major took the loss on the bump despite going six innings of three hit ball and five strikeouts. The Trojans drop to 13-4 on the season and will look to bounce back tonight hosting Winterset.
