A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for both Pella and Knoxville Wednesday afternoon.

The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air from 12:50 to 1:30 p.m., with six staff members contributing to coverage and live reports from WeatherEye and from Knoxville and Pella.

Heavy rainfall was reported in Pella and other areas in the northeast portion of the county, and strong winds and small hail were also spotted in the Tulip City.
