A pair of track and field coaches received top recognition from the Iowa High School Track and Field Coaches Association.

Dak Rasmussen was named Class 3A State Coach of the Year and Scott Tjeerdsma was selected as the state’s Middle School Coach of the Year.

Rasmussen led the Lady Dutch to their first-ever Class 3A team championship this past spring, and a pair of runner-up finishes in 2016 and 2017.

Tjeerdsma helped coach the Middle School boys team that won the mile medley at the Drake Relays.
