A Des Moines man has been arrested for a 2016 burglary in Knoxville.
According to court records, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary, where the victim stated that he awoke to his front door propped open, and his television and prescription pills missing from his home. An unopened can of beer was left by the burglar, and was submitted to the crime lab where fingerprints identified the perpetrator as Cody Ray Anderson of Des Moines.
Anderson was eventually detained in the Polk County Jail, who notified Marion County where he was charged with Burglary in the second degree, a class C felony, and theft in the second degree, a class D felony.
