The Knoxville Softball Squad must have felt like it was ambushed by Dallas Center-Grimes last night in the first round of the class 1A regional as the Panthers lost to the Mustangs 12-0 in six innings. D-C-G scored one in the first, three in the third, one in the fourth, two fifth and busted the game open in the sixth with five more runs and rapped out 17 hits on the night. Knoxville got just one runner to third base all game and was limited to four hits. Coach Coy Hupfeld told KNIA/KRLS Sports his team did not have much of an answer for the Dallas Center-Grimes hitting. Hannah Hauschildt got two of Knoxville four hits on the night. Jada Agan took the loss for the Panthers striking out two. Knoxville finishes the season at 16-11.
