Our number seven moment during the 2017/2018 Knoxville School Year athletically was at the Blue Oval in Des Moines where the Panthers girls track squad qualified in five individual events and one team event. The Panthers best finish was Abbey Jackson, who placed eighth in the 400. Other individual events were Katie Keitges, who earned an 11th in the 800, 13th in the 3000 and 15th in the 1500. The team event that qualified was the Distance Medley relay where Keitges, Emery Neer ,Bree Burton, and Jackson placed 14th in the loaded field. Many of those girls will return for 2019 and all have hopes to not only qualify for the state meet, but to place on the podium.
