It will be a battle of two area teams tonight in Pleasantville, as the Trojan baseball team welcomes PCM to town for a class 2A district semifinal matchup.
This will mark the first postseason game for the Trojans and the Mustangs qualified for the event after a wild 9-7 win over Colfax-Mingo on Saturday night. Pleasantville (23-11) will hope history repeats itself, as they scored early and often against PCM (11-23) last Monday night in a 12-1 mercy rule win. The Mustangs are in their best stretch of the year however, winning seven of their last 11 contests.
The chance to be one step closer to Principal Park will get started at 7 p.m. tonight in Pleasantville.
