The PCM baseball team will start up their playoff journey tonight when they make the short trip to Colfax to face the Tigerhawks in the first round of the class 2A districts.
The Mustangs (10-13) finished the regular season strong with a 14-4 win over Nevada on Tuesday night. The offense has been a strength for PCM this season, as they finished second in the Heart of Iowa Conference in batting average with .308. That offense will need to be on display against the 16-4 Tigerhawks. Head Coach of the Mustangs Jeff Lindsay says pitching and team speed has made Colfax-Mingo a tough out all season long.
The winner of tonight’s game will face off with Pleasantville on Tuesday.
All of the action gets started at 7 p.m. tonight at Colfax-Mingo High School.
