Today we begin the countdown of the Top 10 sports stories for the 2017-2018 school year at PCM with number ten.
The Mustang volleyball team started their season in a big way winning their opening tournament in Newton back on August 22nd. PCM beat Saydel in three sets, Hoover in two, and Newton in exciting fashion winning 15-13 in the deciding third set. Junior Maddie Samson led the offense with 10 kills on the day and Kenzie Johnson added six. Madison Foster set the offense up with 34 assists and Olivia Lippman added 14 digs.
The tournament title helped the Mustangs to a 10-20 season.
