The Top 10 countdown continues for PCM sports for 2017-18 with number five.
Every so often a player gets in a zone and goes through a stretch that is so dominant that it spells doom for their opponent. That was the case for the Mustangs’ quarterback Reed Worth in September, as he threw four touchdown passes in three straight contests. In wins against Albia, Centerville, and Central Lee, the first-year play caller tossed a combined 12 touchdowns while completing 25 of 38 passes for 615 yards. The junior was also a threat with his legs adding three touchdowns on the ground in that time span. In those three games Worth helped the Mustangs outscore their opponent 190-26. He finished the year throwing 24 touchdowns for 1,534 yards and completing 67% of his passes.
PCM finished the 2017 campaign 7-2.
