Today we begin the countdown of the Top 10 sports stories for the 2017-2018 school year at Pleasantville with number ten.
It didn’t take long for senior Hunter Tyree to showcase his dominance in the 2017 season, as the senior reached pay dirt four times in their first game of the year. In their 35-8 win over Eddyville-Blakesburg back on August 25th, Tyree carried the rock nine times for 146 yards and a pair of rushing touchdowns. His versatility showed when he had a 34-yard punt return for a touchdown and a 95-yard interception taken back to the house.
Tyree finished his senior campaign with 24 touchdowns while leading the team in rushing with 1,498 yards and receiving with 317 yards. Pleasantville finished the year 8-3 and qualified for the state quarterfinals.
