The big attraction at the Marion County Fair tonight will be the sprint car races at the Knoxville Raceway. With July here, the Month of Money is upon us as some of the bigger races will be taking place. Tonight was supposed to be an A-S-C-S National show for the 360s but it was called off earlier this week. However, several of the drivers who frequent that series will be in Knoxville racing tonight on a free night to test for the Nationals coming up in August. Already confirmed to race are Jamie Ball, Sam Hafertepe Jr., and Alex Hill among others. The 360 points race is also beginning to close up as Ryan Giles is within 19 points of Clint Garner. The 410 race has Austin McCarl with a 135 point lead over Brooke Tatnell, after Tatnell had troubles last week. Ryan Leavitt trimmed Eric Bridger’s lead to 125 in the 305s after Leavitt’s win last week. Also, the Dirt Trucks from Des Moines will run a show making it a quadruple header at the Knoxville Raceway. You can hear all of the action on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA and kniakrls.com starting with Live Track Side at five and Race Night’s Live at seven.
