An informational meeting about the solar energy project agreement between the City of Knoxville, the Knoxville Community School District, and Red Lion Renewables will be this evening at the school administration building.
The project will place solar energy panels on 15 facilities throughout Knoxville and offset 80-90% of the energy used by the building. The panels will be installed and maintained free of cost by Red Lion Renewables, with investors getting a return on tax credits provided by the state. CEO of Red Lion Renewables Terry Dvorak tells KNIA/KRLS News tonight’s meeting is all about getting as much information out to the public as possible so feel free to ask any questions about the viability of the project, the cost saving measures it will provide, or even if you have questions about investing in the project he will try to answer everything. The meeting begins this evening at 5:30pm.
