An informational meeting about the solar energy project agreement between the City of Knoxville, the Knoxville Community School District, and Red Lion Renewables will take place tomorrow.
The project will place solar on 15 facilities throughout Knoxville and is cost free to the city and school district. CEO of Red Lion Renewables Terry Dvorak tells KNIA/KRLS News his is a cost saving measure for the school and city and a money making opportunity for investors, but wanting to make Iowa a better place to live is a huge motivating factor for doing what he does because he has seen other parts of the country where people have to wear a mask because the air is polluted, and we have an opportunity to make the planet a better place for the next generation by using renewable energy. The meeting will take place at the school administration building beginning at 5:30pm.
