Vermeer Corporation is set to start reopening some of their operations Monday as storm cleanup continues along the mile.
CEO Jason Andringa says they are hopeful to roll out some of their production over the next few weeks while they assess the extent of damage to Plants 4-7 and the Global Pavillion.
“We’re continuing to assess what our production might look like,” he says. “At this point, we are quite optimistic that we may be able to get some of our production going again next week.”
According to Vermeer Human Resources, employees on all shifts in Corporate, Plant 1, Plant 2 (front office and production), Plant 3 (front office and production) and the Parts Center should report to work Monday, beginning with first shift. Team members on all shifts in front office and production of Plants 4, 5, 6 and 7, ACS/Test, Vermeer Underground Technologies and the Global Pavilion should not report to work Monday, July 23 unless contacted by a manager.
Vermeer intends to provide daily updates about the ongoing storm cleanup and return to operations.
