Today we continue the countdown of the Top 10 sports stories of the 2017-2018 school year at Central College with number three.The career of one of the most decorated student-athletes in Central College wrestling history wrapped up March 10th as 125-pounder C.J. Pestano finished in sixth place at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships.
Pestano is only the second three-time All-American wrestler at Central, joining Jon McGovern, who finished fourth in 1990 and won back-to-back 167 pound titles the next two years.
An illustrious career for Pestano also includes a second-place finish in 2016 and a fourth-place effort in 2017. A 30-4 mark in 2018 gives Pestano a career record of 107-9, good for eighth on the Dutch wrestling all-time victories list.
