A Knoxville woman was given a five year suspended sentence Thursday stemming from a drug arrest in February.
According to court records, the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on Maleka Gulley, 27, and found 37 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, and plastic baggies. Gulley was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, a class D felony.
The state and defense jointly recommended a five year suspended sentence, citing that Gulley has already obtained a substance abuse evaluation and has been attending outpatient rehabilitation, as well as finding full time employment, which was agreed upon by the judge.
