A very young group is running for the Knoxville Boys Cross Country Squad in 2018. Coach Michael Splavec tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he will have to rely on freshmen to help the team this year. He adds after the Knoxville Earlybird Meet the ninth graders will be a major part of the squad. Four of the seven runners that scored on Monday were freshmen including Jonathan Watson…who finished ninth. Other freshmen runners were Max Purvis, Emmett Schmidt, and Peter Picard. The Panthers next meet is Monday at Albia.
