The Marion County Democrats opened their Knoxville office Saturday after walking in the Knoxville Nationals Parade.
The office will serve as the Marion County campaign headquarters for Democratic Party candidates county and statewide. Congressman Dave Loebsack walked in the parade and attended the opening, and tells KNIA/KRLS News this is a part of the job he enjoys.
“The Knoxville Nationals parade is fantastic, and I enjoy participating in it almost every year. This is such a great opportunity for me to get out and talk to people and hear what is on their mind. The opening of the office here in Knoxville shows the hard work the local party has put in to gain a real opportunity here.”
Iowa House District 28 candidate Anne Fields tells KNIA/KRLS News the campaign office shows the enthusiasm that her volunteers have this year and will serve as a way for her campaign to be as organized as possible
“This office opening is where it all starts because the volunteers have a place to meet and plan before they go knocking on doors, write postcards, and make telephone calls. It’s really the focal point of the campaign.”
The office is located at 109 S. 3rd St. The office serves all the candidates listed below.
