Melcher-Dallas has a new football coach, and a new outlook this season. Coming off a six-and-three season former Coach Mike Hortsman left new coach and Melcher-Dallas alumni Bart Elliott with the cupboard still stocked with talent on the offensive end. Elliott tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the skill positions will have a few familiar faces. Dalton Lovell rushed for 446 and seven touchdowns last year, Harrington returns as the leading receiver, he caught 47 balls for 798 yards and 15 scores, while Blaise Cooper had 203 yards receiving last season. Elliott says the front lines are a concern due to a few inexperienced players. Melcher-Dallas will open the season with Seymour/Moulton-Udell next Friday.
