The Top 10 countdown continues for PCM sports for 2017-18 with number one.
Lucas Roland is a state champion! Those words swept through the PCM community back on February 17th when he marched through the wrestling state tournament to claim first place in the class 2A 170-pound weight class.
Roland won by an 18-3 technical fall, 8-3 decision, and 8-5 decision that led him to championship Saturday. Roland made history when he defeated Wahlert’s Kolton Bartow by a 5-1 decision to claim the title. The junior headlined a busy tournament for the Mustangs, as Colby Tool was fourth at 138 lbs and Wes Cummings finished fourth at 160lbs.
Roland finished the year 53-1 and will look to do it all over again this winter for his senior campaign.
