After a week’s worth of volleyball action, the Iowa High School Girls Athletic Union rankings are beginning to show some of the early season progress of high school teams.
Pella dropped one spot to No. 6 in the latest poll. The Lady Dutch are 7-1, with their only loss coming to 5A Ames in the Bondurant tournament. Conference rival and undefeated Dallas Center-Grimes moved up to No. 4, with Wahlert keeping the top spot and Xavier moving from 2nd to 3rd. Waverly-Shell Rock, who won the gold bracket on the Bondurant invitational, leapfrogged the Lady Dutch from 8th to 5th. Conference foe Oskaloosa joined the rankings at 14th as well.
Pella takes on Class 5A Indianola–who dropped out of the girls union’s rankings, on Tuesday.
