The Top 10 countdown continues for Pleasantville sports for 2017-18 and it all comes down to this with number one.
1,000 points. A rare feat at any level and one of the most impressive individual accomplishment in basketball. Kelsee Van Haalen etched herself into Pleasantville lore back on January 23rd, when the senior amassed over 1,000 points in her illustrious career.
In a 48-21 win over Interstate 35, the senior accomplished the mark early in the second quarter en route to a 16-point performance. Van Haalen made her presence known early in her career scoring 197 points her freshman year, 225 as a sophomore, 307 as a junior, and 371 points as a senior to finish with 1,100 points overall. Not only did she lead the Trojans in scoring the last three years, but also showed off her versatility leading the team in assists with 44 and steals with 105.
The senior led the Trojans to an 11-12 record this past season.
